Urban Decay Showboat Collection
My bestfriend, Jed, sent me a set of Urban Decay nail polish all the way from Paris! I was freaking out inside when her mom handed it to me. Oh God, they’re so beautiful.
I only got to paint my nails Tuesday afternoon and then I died so many deaths. I could feel my heart stopping and tearing into pieces every time I looked at each bottle and painted each color.
Here’s the whole set:

Showboat Urban Decay Collection Summer 2012.
Urban Decay describes the set as
An eclectic mix of on-trend shades in travel-friendly mini bottles. Six high-voltage nailshades in solid brights such as juicy orange and vibrant fuchsia and a few pearly-finishes like peacock green and electric royal blue.
I’ve always believed that ‘brighter is better’ and the same holds true for my nails! If you love migraine-inducing, notice-me colors like I do, this is the set you want. Also, you have to apply at least two coats for a perfect finish.
Swatches and more after the jump!
I cannot decide on what particular shade to wear so.. I thought why not use all of them? Five colors on my left, then two on my right. I got candy hands, y’all!

This is Radium. It’s a metallic, electrifying blue.

Completely opaque in just two coats! It’s beautiful.
This is Showboat. It’s a high-voltage, neon orange.

I adore anything orange so this one totally rocked my socks off.
This is Covet. A pretty, sea green with a light silver shimmer.

A lot of my friends love this one. It’s prettier and more vibrant in person and under the sunlight.
This is Woodstock. A hot pink creme.

Who said neon pink is restricted to the ‘80’s? Fantastic formula! Took me only two coats for a complete coverage (unlike many neons).
This is Perversion. Your basic black creme.

Looks so much more beautiful with a shiny topcoat on. I used my Sally Hansen Insta-Dry and got a gorgeous shiny finish.
This is Fishnet. A bright, violet-magenta (eggplant-ish) creme.

All of the colors require only two coats except this one. It also dries with a plastic, semi-matte finish unlike the other five colors in this set.
Swatches!

Fishnet is much darker and more violet in person. My camera’s flash did something weird with its color.

These are my two favorites. They’re also the brightest and most solid.
The bottles are really small (5ml) so they tend to dry and clump quicker (which is actually a plus for me since I tend to smudge my nails in a blink of an eye) but overall, I really like this set! They’re perfect for last-minute trips as they are super handy and specifically sized for travel. To all the neon novices out there, you might want to try this. I’m a hundred percent sure you’ll fall in love with it.
